Aurigny to retire its only jet

The States of Guernsey, the owner of Aurigny, has approved a plan from the airline to retire its only jet, an Embraer ERJ195, and to acquire two additional ATR72-600s. The plan is to complete the transition next year and aims to make the company more efficient.

Aurigny took delivery of ERJ195 G-NSEY (19000671) new from the factory in June 2014 and uses the aircraft mainly on the route between Guernsey and London-Gatwick.

Next to its ERJ, Aurigny's fleet further consists of three ATR72-600s and three Dornier Do228s.
