Royal Jordanian confirms E2-order

On 18 May 2023, Embraer announced that it has reached a deal with Azorra and Royal Jordanian for new E2-jets. Last October, the airline already said it would order the E2, looking initially to an order for ten aircraft. Now, these plans have been finalized, although for two aircraft less. From Azorra, Royal Jordanian will lease four E190-E2s, and two E195-E2s, and two more E195-E2s have been ordered directly at the manufacturer.

The aircraft leased from Azorra are not new orders for Embraer and will come from the lessor's existing orderbook. Deliveries of the first E2s is expected to take place before the end of the year.

Royal Jordanian will use the new E2s to replace its current fleet of two ERJ190s, and two ERJ195s.
