SalamAir receives 1st A321neo

On 10 September, SalamAir took delivery of its first A321neo. The aircraft, registered A4O-OXA (10483) was ferried on this date from Hamburg-Finkenwerder to Muscat and started commercial flights on the same day.

The A321neo is the first of two leased via GECAS and join a fleet of six A320neos. SalamAir was founded in 2016 and launched flights a year later, with leased A320s from LATAM. The airline flies domestically in Oman, as well to destinations in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
