Start-up Air Samarkand welcomes 1st aircraft

Air Samarkand is a new airline in Uzbekistan, operating from Samarkand. It's planning to connect the city with 25 destinations in China, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and other Asian cities.

Fleet-wise, it took delivery of its first aircraft on 3 November 2023. Airbus A330-300 2-LCCV (1177) arrived at Samarkand from Taipei and was previously in use with China Airlines as B-18355. It will become UK33001 soon.

Next to the A330, Air Samarkand will also add an Airbus A321 soon and plans to add up to four A320s and A330s later as well.
