Swoop expands fleet with B737-8s

Swoop, the low-cost subsidiary of WestJet, has announced a significant expansion of its domestic routes and fleet and will add six new B737-8s. All new MAXs will be delivered this summer.

Currently, the airline is operating a fleet of ten B737-800s out of its bases at Edmonton and Toronto-Pearson. Next to an extensive domestic operation, the LCC also serves (seasonal) destinations in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and the United States.
