new lens for Nikon D-70

Post by Guinness »

hi there,

I'm looking for a replacement for my "ancient"Sigma 100-300 lens.

I have a Nikon D-70 and looking for a nice digital lens.

I've seen the Tamron 80-300.
anybody experience with that one.?

Hopefuly you might have some more tips.

Hope to hear.

Tip: the Nikkor 70-300 AFS VR is erg goed en is niet al te duur tegenwoordig. Veel lens voor weinig geld!

You mean the Tamron 70-300 right?

Got it for 5 years now, a nice lens, works very well. But just what Leeuwarden is saying, the Nikkor 70-300 is a very nice option as well and has one advantage(?) over the Tamron and that's the VR function.
Cheers, Michel

I would go for the Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 as well. Good value for money, and has indeed the VR.

If you want a zoom, the Nikkor 70-300mm is certainly a good pick, I took a lot of pictures with it before I made the step to use primes. And the pictures are good enough to get on Airliners.net so the quality is ok.
