Great photos. Thanks for posting them and thanks for starting this thread.

A couple of my friends posted the following photos on airpics.gr and I thought maybe you'll find them to be of interest:

Nice pix, Phantom fixer!
I only found out that the T-2's (and the F-4 opposite them) were off limits on Saturday morning when I wanted to reshoot them with somewhat better light. I got told off by one of the guards :)

Hi Guys,

Some nice shots posted so far, here's 4 more pictures from Tanagra, these pictures are something different hopefully, I'll try to edit some flying shots and post them over the next few days.

Feedback, good or bad, is welcome as always.

Regards,

Frank.

See if you can spot in the photo below how the elevated shot was taken....

If you look between the rotor blades you'll see an F-16 that was trying to "shoot" down the Apache

My apologies for the frozen rotor blades, I was following the jets and didn't see the helicopters until it was too late, I initially forgot to drop the shutter speed....
Image

....but I remembered in time for the flypast

Nice shots, looks like a great show!

For the elevation: Big tripod? :P

It was a very nice weekend at Tanagra. Thumbs up to the Greek Air Force for organizing this nice airshow.

And a question, one of the Danish F-16's had this small camel under the cockpit. Does any one know why??

I hope you like them.
As always comments are always welcome.
Kind regards

Hey Jonas,

great pics.

The blue camel signifies they successfully dropped one of the new GCWs (Guided Camel Weapons)... :P

Either that or this aircraft has been deployed to Afghanistan. My friends with the RDAF tell me these camels were painted on sometime in the 2002/03 time-frame.

Take your pick :D
