The F-15 is going away for restoration/new paint coat and won't come back to it's current place at the museum. It will be back in the new museum (opening 2013 if all goes well) and will be displayed there indoors.

Great news, really great news. Are they planning on doing the same with the rest of that "flightline"?

Great to hear that the F-15 will be displayed indoors! Nice to see that they are already busy with the move. It's great that some planes becomes restored to a better condition, because the planes that are standing outdoors are very bad (mechanical and paint). The F-27, the C47 and the Neptune will be restored also.

And does anyone know what will happen with the aircrafts that are now stored in the shelters at the former airbase? Becomes they also displayed in the new museum? Off course, there is a lot of "scrap" but there are also some interresting aircraft(parts)

Hope that the former ZULU facility will form a part of the new museum so that they can put the Eagle in the hangar.

Yes one point for Spacedust ;) But to keep it in a good condition, it would be better to place it indoors..... :P

Yes that would be great! But there is one point, the ZULU is located at Camp New Amsterdam, and that's not where the museum will come, because it comes in the hangars of 298/300SQN. And I can't imagine that they allow to enter the military side of the base. But there is a big change you can get very close to the former ZULU hangar because you can enter it from the runway-side in the future. So you don't have to get onto the base to have acces to the buildings overthere.
