VMFT-401 "Snipers"

Post by rogierottens »

During our westcoast trip we visited Yuma on the 2nd of march. At that day we had 78F (25C) and sunshine, and the ramps full with Harriers, Cobra's, Huey's and the aggressor F-5's from VMFT-401 the Snipers, it could be a great day. The ex-swiss air force tigers flew 3 or 4 times that day against the Harriers and hornets from El Centro and Miramar over the ranges north of Yuma.

still nothing sexier then aggressor aircraft :)

Such a shame A-10`s are not used as Aggressors.. paintschemes like those would look awesome on a A-10

Roel,

Just spent a couple of days at Yuma (Fairgrounds). No troubles with security, was checked by (military) police every day. Photographing of airplanes is not illegal so they are cool about that as long as you don`t start taking pictures of (towards)the base. (tempting however with F-5 taxiing by at close range).
Looks like the pictures were taken from the fairgrounds side outside the base, made similar shots over there couple some time ago.

Grtz,

Hans
