Cambrai-Epinoy (LFQI) - 2011 MIL

Post by Wim »

After Reims we headed back home and we stopped at Cambrai. There the weather was just great. There were 6 jets on the flightline and a 7th one was comming in, so not bad when you know that there are only 12 jets and 20 pilots left anymore at Cambrai... This is what we saw flying between 15h30 and 17h45:

Mirage 2000C 124/103-YT (Landing: 16h04)
Mirage 2000C 80/103-LI (Take off: 16h40/Landing: 17h32) not in tigermeet colours anymore...
Mirage 2000C 120/103-KC (Take off: 16h40/Landing: 17h32)
Mirage 2000C 107/103-YD (Take off: 16h41/Landing: 17h39)
Mirage F-1B 510/112-SL (Touch and go: 16h44, 16h46, 16h48, 16h51, 16h54, 16h57)

Not bad for 2 hours at Cambai nowadays.

How deep have we sunk in this hobby that 4 fighters in 2 hours is 'not bad'.. Anyway, thanks for the log!

Sure about this one? It used to be 103-YD and as far as I know French codes don't change a lot anymore..

sorry, it must be YD, thanks for the correction. For Cambrai nowadays, 4 fighters in 2 hours is really good, as the base is nearing its end unfortunatly. With the tigermeet, they only participate with 3 jets anymore, so thats even less than I have seen
