Hi Hermolaus,

That's GREAT  news, so the Polish Air Force will indeed participate in TLP 2009-1.
We'll wait and see when they arrive and in the forum you'll see the pictures, that's for sure!
I think for many people they are the highlight of this edition :D

So you mean those Polish vipers are due to arrive today although they will only participate during the last 2 weeks?
Or will they participate as from Monday onwards??

NOt according the planning, but of course these change as you noticed also in this TLP because many aircraft did not show up, while others line the AMX were not in the first draft.

Personally I think these Hercs are here for the still present FAP F-16A but that is pure speculation.

Around 11.30LT a Learjet serial 10076 was doing some T & G + Fly by.
Was that a BAF ? or Privat ? Any help welcome.

Polleke_NL wrote:as for the overview, assume (hope) SP stands for Poland ?? (F-16C external assets)
Does external assets mean they won't operate from EBFS ??
Yes, in the overview the first part of the unit is the Air Force, followed by wing ( if present ) and squadron.
Therefore SP is the name of the Polish Air Force.

External Asset means the aircraft act as red air or aggressor, see more info at http://tlp.scramble.nl/tlp-external-support.htm.

The Polish Vipers are planned for the third and fourth week of the TLP. Expect arrival at Florennes should be Fri 23 Jan. or Mon 26 Jan.

Just wait and see, because the last two editions a lot of no scheduled others planes took part in TLP instead of scheduled units/aircraft.

Regards,

Maurits
Indeed, normally, the external assets were planned for the last two weeks.

However, the last week the type of missions like CSAR, with helicopters, there is no urgent need for the externals to act as red air.

Therefore, during the last TLP exercises, some external assets were also planned from week 2 and week 3.

Due to some no-shows on the part of the RAF, during the first week there was a shortage of air-to-air participants.
Which is solved now with the Polish Vipers and the extra Italians as well!
