Should have become an Austrian one. But, is now intended for Germany. The Austrians chose to change to 15 Tranche 1 a/c and therefore 9 German Air Force a/c are now intended for Austria. Nine a/c intended for Austria (Tranche 2) a/c will now join the Luftwaffe, registered 31+14 to 31+22.

Thank Stefan,

but will they keep the Austrian c/n or will receive a new one?

Admit that the Austria's order confused me a little.....

For now they have been flown and delivered with their Austrian 'c/n' (not really a c/n though, more a type-version number). Guess this was already assigned, and would think that this will not change.

Italians at Neuburg

Post by Wellhead »

Hello,

I have a few days of next week and was thinking
of going to Neuburg for the Italian Tornados'.
I would like to know if someone can confirm if they have arrived
so that I won't be driving 9 hrs for "Jan Doedel" to Neuburg. :?:

Regards

Hi Ronald,

I was there last week Wednesday and Thursday and we saw 6 Italian Tornado's.
We even stayed in the same hotel as the pilots :drinking:

Not 100% sure how long they would stay, but they have been there all 6 now for little over a week. (first 2 arriving on Monday, next 2 on tuesday etc)

Hello,

Just got a reply from my message
at fluzeugforum that the Italians
will be staying until friday.
Unfortunately something has come in between
so I won't be going. :? :?

Regards.
