Spotting in Hungary

Post by Graham Skinner »

Good Morning
I am venturing into Hungary for the first time in August, have done a fair bit of research through the various groups but i do have a few questions that hopefully other members may be able to answer.

1. Papa - As i understand it, it is difficult or impossible to view items from outside, therefore does any member have either contact details for a possible visit, or are there any overflights allowed, if so any details for that please. My understanding is that as the base is being upgraded that overflights are no longer permitted, but maybe someone more wiser can answer.

2. General spotting conditions and or photography from outside, what is the situation like, is it acceptable as long as you are sensible etc. Any good places to spot that other members have found out that can benefit spotters, have downloaded both Scramble guides to Szolnak ansd Kecskemet, but any other places would be helpful.

3. Museum opening times at Szolnak and other museums, i can not find details on websites about these unlerss i am looking in the wrong place.

4. Kecskemt show, any ideas about parking, access etc, coming from Budapest so any help to make my navigators job less stressful appreciated.

Anything else that other members may like to share to benefit all, much appreciated and of course logs will be posted upon return.

Thank you in advance and best regards
Graham
