Each year on 10 December, the Venezuelan Air Force, or
Aviación Militar Bolivariana Venezolana celebrates its birthday
with an aerial defile. Obviously, this event is witnessed by all
the top brass and invitees. Also, some local aircraft
photographers were allowed to view the proceedings. This
resulted in this photographic impression. Of course, this
years’ edition was dominated by the Su-30MKV doing a 12-
ship fly-by, but other interesting bits and pieces were to be
seen as well. Notably, a mixed formation fly-by featuring NF-5B
and Mirage 50 aircraft alongside F-16s. This year, the event
was held at Boca del Rio.
