Armada MH-60R Seahawks

On 12 October 2023, Lockheed Martin Corp., Owego (NY) has been awarded an fixed-price order for the production and delivery of eight MH-60R Seahawk helicopters for the government of Spain.

Although the order has been placed in October 2023, the determination approving this Foreign Military Sale was already made in March 2022. Scramble Magazine first wrote on this order on 22 March 2022.

Currently, the Armada (Spanish Navy) operates eighteen Sikorsky SH-60B and SH-60F Seahawks with Escuadrilla 10 (Eslla 010) at Rota. The new helicopters will replace the SH-60B.

No details were released on the delivery schedule.
