ATUDB Airbus C295MW shows markings
On 22 November 2023, Santiago Blánquez photographed Angkatan Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (ATUDB, Royal Brunei Air Force) Airbus C295MW serial TUDB502 (c/n 224) in full markings at Sevilla-San Pablo (Spain) returning from a testflight.
The transport aircraft is the first of an order for an unknown number of aircraft. Scramble Magazine first reported in the signing of this contract in December 2022. According to Janes the contract covers three aircraft. The C295MW will replace the single CN235-110M that has been in operation since 1997.
A second aircraft, serial TUDB503 (c/n 225), was already noted fully painted with the Airbus Defence production facility at San Pablo in October 2023. The ordered aircraft are expected to be delivered in two batches.
