"Just a nice Picture...!"

On 4 November 2020, the Blue Angels conducted their final flight on the F/A-18 "Legacy" Hornets marking the official transition of the team to the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.

And of course a lot of photo material turned up marking this event. As mentioned in the official announcement, the final flight was conducted in the late afternoon and fortunately had optimal light conditions.

The aircraft took off from their homebase NAS Pensacola (FL) around 16:00 hre LT for a 30-minutes tour along the coastline between Pensacola Beach in the east and Fort Morgan in te west. This flight signified the official transition to the Super Hornet platform.

Winter training will start from 16 November 2020 onwards over Pensacola. In January 2021, the team will deploy to NAF El Centro (CA) for the common winter training, but this time with the Super Hornet. The Blue Angels will stay at El Centro for four months.

Hopefully, we can see the team with their new equipment in next year's show season.
