Scramble 341 will be out in a couple of days

Post by jurgen »

Due to some technical difficulties with my computer this mail was send a bit later than usual.

Another bumper edition. Making the magazine bigger than 160 pages would mean an incredible increase of postage, we could have easily gone for 180/190 pages. A varied article with all sections present and as an extra a couple of really great articles.
We continue our quest for a civil cover shot, have a look for the specs at http://www.scramble.nl/mag.htm.

In this month's edition we have special features about:

-AIRFIELD GUIDE - WALES.
Well, this isn't actually an airfield but the increased popularity of the low flying zones in Wales have prompted us to give an overview of the situation. The format is known, where to go or stand to make that spectacular, almost air-to-air like, picture of the topside of the fast oving hawk or Tornado?

-WALES.
Before writing the above Airfield Guide, Frank Noort went to Wales to check the situation. He came home and wrote a very nice story with his day-to-day experience on top of the mountains waiting for aircraft to pas by.

-BRAZILIAN ARMY.
A complete overview, including Order of battle and all construction numbers, of all the helicopters of this small but agile force.

-CAM RANH-BAY.
'Just as I remember it' were the words of a Vietnam veteran who read this article about this large military base in South Vietnam. Thirteen pages of pure nostalgia with the complete history during the Vietnam-war. Illustrated by thirty pictures, some of them in full colour.

-FIRE FIGHTING IN GREECE.
From the end of June 2007, this country had a lot of problems with raging fires all over the country. Many nations stepped in and send help. We give you a one-page review of the aircraft seen by our correspondents.

-TEXEL AIR SHOW.
This is the biggest airshow in the Netherlands. A few hundred tin and a couple of large civil and military aircraft take care of an enjoyable couple of days.

Do not forget to download the Military Updates at http://www.scramble.nl/members/index.html Twenty-seven pages with info on thirty-eight countries.
