From a press release received by Scramble today:
NAYAK Aircraft Services at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport has signed a five year contract with KLM cityhopper for the maintenance of 10 Embraer 190 aircraft. KLM cityhopper will bring the first Embraer 190 into use later this year.
At this moment Nayak Aircraft Services is responsible for the maintenance of the Fokker 50 and Fokker 70 fleet of KLM cityhopper.

Lijkt mij tamelijk vanzelfsprekend, in een persbericht van 8 oktober 2008... Maar het kan natuurlijk best dat dit maanden lang geheim gehouden is. 8)

On http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you can see one of the first pictures of the first E-190 in KLM colours. Note the blue front section of the starboard engine. I like it :D

Don't count on it still being there when it get's to AMS. It looks like protective foil.

I don't like it. Way too much gray. I don't like the junglejets anyway. But I think there was little choice (except maybe those cramped CRJ's). Long live the Fokker :(

I consider this 'project' dead. IMHO it is too late to restart production.
