at 09.10 crew was very busy around her and engine got started so assume departure will be really soon... (if not gone by now already)

indeed, Merlin has gone.

Taxi out time 9:49LT, take off time 9:54LT.

Departed as RFR7331 from rwy22 left turn out towards Vinkeveen ( Victor Departure ), at or below 500ft.

On right side badge of 28(AC)sq, on left side 78sq.

Destination was EGUB/Benson according to computers @ KLM.. Strange departure direction though!

Not as strange as you might think. Victor departure is just the standard procedure for VFR flights to leave Schiphol.

Ooops... As you can see I am used to filing IFR only... I would have expected a departure from SPL East towards the tower and along the coast... :|

Obviously an option too. But sometimes they even prefer Victor, for instance to pick up a PAM radial for guidance thereafter. Conclusion: you never can tell... ;)
