No. CX has (currently) no traffic rights to operate revenue traffic on the AMS-CDG v.v. sectors. So booking will not be possible.

CX is pass everything through to CDG, also passengers, also cargo.

So we can say;

- CX yields to AMS are not that good and CX can use some more capacity HKG-CDG by using this tag-on. Less seats will be on sale for destination AMS, and more to/from CDG (using the same flights).
- CX uses the tag-on to CDG to keep their current slots (at CDG) in an easy way, without operating a complete extra flight from HKG.

I conclude that CX is downgrading AMS from Summer 2011 since the capacity to AMS is shrinking.

According to the most recent Summer 2011 schedules Alitalia will introduce a 2x/daily Florence-AMS-FLR service in competition with MeridianaFly:

- FLR 06:55 - AMS 08:55 AZ 0114 A319 daily = NEW
- FLR 07:25 - AMS 09:30 IG 0331 A319 Mon, Thu, Fri, Sun
- FLR 16:35 - AMS 18:40 IG 0335 A319 daily
- FLR 17:30 - AMS 19:30 AZ 0116 A319 daily = NEW

- AMS 09:55 - FLR 11:45 AZ 0115 A319 daily = NEW
- AMS 10:20 - FLR 12:15 IG 0332 A319 Mon, Thu, Fri, Sun
- AMS 19:30 - FLR 21:25 IG 0336 A319 daily
- AMS 20:30 - FLR 22:20 AZ 0117 A319 daily = NEW

This will probably result in the end of KLM's codeshare with MeridianaFly.

Blue1 has postponed flight to Amsterdam to the end of March 2011. According to the airline there's a delay in the delivery of a Boeing 717, which was needed to operate the route.

Also, Royal Jordanian adds an extra flight to Amman. As of March 28th the route will operate every day except Sunday.

I conclude that CX is downgrading AMS from Summer 2011 since the capacity to AMS is shrinking.
Is that so? Maybe the AMS-CDG-AMS sector is flown completely empty, who knows!

If not, great finally the B777-300ER on the route :|

Capacity for sale destination AMS on these flights will be reduced and therefore more capacity goes on sale for/via CDG.
That means, that the specific flights with a tag-on to CDG will have a reduced capacity for AMS as destination.
CX is slightly reducing their capacity to AMS.

Also, this is a good way to keep hands on their slots in CDG.

CX B777-300ER will not come to AMS in the near future.

I get so many upgrades on CX flying between HKG and AMS that i can hardly imagine that they can't sell their available seats. On another forum it was mentioned that the new DME-flights (on a smaller plane) would continue to Paris, as this service hasn't commenced yet it was argued that CX tries to keep the slots at CDG.
Now that CX also has extra slots at AMS and the B777 will come one day wouldn't this also be the start of a more than daily service to AMS? Just guessing...
