The hangar has lots of windows so it is visible from outside the hangar.

So it there, or is there nothing to see during day time?
I've heard from others that during night time the a/c should be vissible when the lights are on.

During daytime: if doors are closed there is no chance of seeing it
During dark: if lights are on, aircraft is visible (no possibility to read off or whatsoever)

To be a little bit more precise:
On the far left is a Indian civil BD700 (lots of blue & red) with its tail towards the hangar door. On the right side next to it is the E-11 with its nose facing the hangar doors.

PS aircraft have wheels and wings an can be moved ...

Anyone on this forum with contacts inside Bombardier to obtain an estimated departure date (and time)?

Word is that the aircraft needs a new cockpit window.
If so, it wil not depart before tomorrow when considering the curing time of sealants etc.

Hiy all,

just so we know what to expect:
after changing the window i assume you have to pressure-test the thing...
can that be done inside the hanger, does that have to be done outside, would taht involve a testflight... ?

TIA,
Rene

Won't expect a testflight, maybe a pressure test but that depends on the manufacturer's manual.

Hiya Melchior et all,

i know a testflight was a bit hopeful ;-)) The info i was looking for of course goes down to how many reactiontime one would have once this one comes out of the hangar ;-))

If the pressuretest has to be done outside, plane will be outside for some time before departure.
If they get all the work done inside, plane can depart quicker after being towed out (in the rain, one would imagine...).

Can you do a pressure test inside the hangar ?

TIA,
Rene
