I have two questions I hope you can help we with.

1. Is the doors to the showground not open before 10.00?

2. Will ILA not publicise a program for the flying display?

Thanks in advance.
1. As far as I know, gates open at 8
2. I have seen only one for press purposes. As this one is subject to change all day.You can ask one at tent 5 (they are behind the door on the left)

1. No, they are german, so sticking to the rules, consider it a bonus as it opens up 15 minutes earlier. Tickets can be purchased earlier, but after that you're held in other area's away from the planes

2. Program is decided the evening before each day, Leaflets are handed out at the showground. Further it should be published after 20.00 hour at the ILA website

Tomorrow will be my last day at the ILA. Will publish a report on wednesday. As I am checking this board tomorrow morning for the last time (while I am here), I am still able to answer your questions.

Will leave the ILA in a few minutes, as nothing interesting (for me) is gonna happen today.

This morning a few additional arrivals:
89-2030/AV, 88-0491/AV F-16C 510FS
7155 UH-1D
8752 Bo105

Furthermore, PdS will arrive today at 1145 and at 1212 4x F-4F will make a fly by. After that the flying programm will start with aircraf talready present at ILA Ground. Tonight or tomorrow a secon B-1B will arrive, but ETA is unknown at the moment. The C-130J will go to Rmastein after leaving ILA (probably sunday), after this the aircraft will fly back to Prestwick and St.John.

Thanks for your answers.

I have a few follow up questions.

1. So this means that the showground is only open from 1000-1800 during the public days?

2. So the flying display is not the same on both Saturday and Sunday?

Thanks again wamovements and aviodromefriend.
Kind regards

1. That's right, 1000 till 1800 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday

2. They hope to have it basically the same, but you know, reasons beyond the organisers control, etc, exhibitors that prefer a different slot at the days, normal airline traffic that's going on during the show.

Just read at flugzeugforum: a Me-109 should have had a mishap today, As far as I saw quickly, one maingear leg has collapsed, Pilot (Walther Eichhorn) should be OK.

Further, the court in Germany ruled today, at a certain point, military aircraft should not fly under 450 metres, as wanted by a local Prof. ILA organisation threatened to send the bone over the man's house at 450 metres, but this didn't work, as after the Me-109, flying was stopped.

This does not sound promising for the flying display  . Will it take effect immediately?
Kind regards

1. The Me-109 is on the program for today (which was published at 20.00 yesterday, so after the mishap), so I suppose the gear was fixed or the damage was light.

2. The minimum height is only over a region near Potsdam, so not overhead the airfield.

The Me109 that is on the flying programme for today is a 109UL, which means it's a replica, not the one that had the mishap yesterday.

Tim.
