To be more precisely, in the weekend from the 6 & 7th of june 2009

Location> Bernardkazerne, Barchman Wuytierslaan 198 in Amersfoort, which is very close situated near the Zoo (or 'Dierenpark Amersfoort' if you like...). Also the Vlasakkers will be used for demonstration purposes of both vehicles and helicopters.

Regarding to a local newspaper what I read this morning by my parents: The airspace over the Vlassakkers is restricted to a/c with paticipation to the army days. The weekend will be the last moments of military aviation at Soesterberg. So there is a possebility ,in my opinion at least that they operated from the former airfield. Perhaps with a mobile tower. But it's pure speculation of my side....

They can fly from Gilze as well, you know...It ain't necessary that the TWR should be occupied for this occasion as they can either depart or arrive under supervision of Dutch Mil FIS. They did it before.

If I would go by car, where to park it?
I heard already that there are 3 parking lots, and from the past I know that the Army arranges transport quite well.
But does anybody know where they are located, so that I can aim my car to that particular spot?

I have read somewhere that the parking lots will be: The Uithof (Utrecht), former Soesterberg Air Base and Vathorst (Amersfoort).

Parking will indeed be on the former Soesterberg Airbase. The traffic signs are already in place ;-)

I have read in a local newspaper (Soest NU) that there is a special day for people who lives in Soest and Amersfoort, on Friday 5th of June.
Is there anyone who can confirm this, and is there also info about air demo's?

Edit: see also the website of Soest: http://www.soest.nl/eCache/DEF/13/819.html
