Israeli F-16I on the static kicks asses.

About scanners' usage: AFAIK in Hungary only devices that emit electromagnetic energy need a license, devices that are only receivers are allowed.

Israeli only static was exspected, same as USAF. AMX Display is really nice addition. Too bad the special croatian Mig-21 disappeared, but you can't have them all. And Tweety Bird III is the one and only we need to see. ;)

All together it is a really huge airshow, just count the number of display teams and solo jet displays!

16 single jet Displays
5 Display teams

Impressive!!! :shock: 8) 8) 8) I'm really looking forward to next week! :)

How can I buy an e-ticket on ticketpro.hu, which I wanna print out at home?

I only see the way that tickets will be delivered by GLS courier.

First you have to register at ticketpro. After that, click on the "e-ticket" button on top of the page. Then you get to see all events of which you can buy e-tickets, one of them is the kecskemet airshow.

It's a bit different this year. Tickets are available at Ticketpro partner offices. See the below site for details.
http://www.ticketpro.hu/contact.php?modify_language=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyway, finding such a partner office should be no problem in bigger cities. It might be worth giving them a ring beforehand, though - just to make sure (e.g. the address of one of the offices in my hometown is not correct on the site).

Is a map of the public area available? I can´t find it on the internet.
Maybe someone can indicate the public area on google maps? Is it just the eastern part of the field or the whole field parallel to the taxitrack?

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 45276&z=15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Regarding the parking lots and gates: is it correct that gate 1 is along road 44 and gate 3 at the Kafka Margit utca? There´s no such as gate 2?

Thanks again to our Hungarian friends for answering all those questions!

Cheers,

Johan

You can see the numbers indicating gates on this map: http://www.repulonap.hu/airshow/rovatok ... rkep_1.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't know why no. 4 is missing, I guess it is the red patch without a number (next to no. 3). To be honest, I have always used either the main gate (no. 2) or no. 1 during my visits to previous shows, so I have no experience.

I prepared a quick sketch. It might not be 100% accurate, but it's a good rough overview.

Image

Areas available for visitors are marked with the yellow lines.
The red line indicates a line of blast walls, so it's not worth planning to go there . :) Usually they put a large number of toilets to this spot (of course there are also toilets elsewhere).
The orange line needs some explanation: during the last show's first day (2008), sightseeing trains took visitors to the C-17 parked on the western end of the base. This proved to be ineffective, so on the second day orginazers opened a corridor (this is marked with orange), through which people could simply walk to the Big Mac. I think, this was a great idea, so hopefully, this solution will be kept this year (maybe the AWACS will be parked there).
