Does anyone know where the entrance for the spotters day / open day will be? I can't find the location online anywhere and I'd just like to put the address / coordinates into my sat nav before travelling south.

Thanks in advance,

Frank.

There seems to be a (comic) book fair during the air show as well. If I understand the French text correctly Mr. Bergese (Buck Danny) will be there to sign and dedicate his books...not bad! I cannot remember that he has ever attended Dutch comic book fairs! Also the artist(s) from "Missions Kimono" will be there.

Not the be missed!

I've another possibly silly question but here goes...

Is it just that I can't find it or is information on the spotters day non-existent apart from a web page saying that it starts at 1300hrs on Saturday 12th June? Do we just arrive at one of the entrances marked on the map linked to above or is there a specific entrance for spotters on the Saturday?

Thanks in advance,

Frank.

I do not have anny info other than what was mentioned on the registration page.

I do have another question, will the US and other carrier based aircraft operate out of Hyeres on the 13th or from another base and if so, which one?

Hi Frank, http://www.cerclesmarinetoulon.com/100ans/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; states:
So I guess it will be the main gate. See you on Saturday.

Will the carrier cancellations affect aircraft participation from the UK & Italy? The Italian Harriers would have been nice to see.

It was already known for some weeks that the Italian carrier will not be present. Nevertheless the Italian a/c will participate and fly from their homebase to Hyères Still on the list are AB212, Merlin, Harier and Sea King .

I recieved some information yesterday when I was onboard the USS Truman that 4 F/A18's , 1 E2C and on SH60 will be present at the Hyers airshow.
The aircraft will be place on static display and will fly their demo from Hyeres.
No other aircraft will participate on a parade or so.
The carrier will depart friday-evening on on saturday morning.
