Spottersplaatsen tijdens de Open Dagen

Graag jullie aandacht voor het volgende:

Vanaf woensdag 14 september zullen beide spotterplaatsen (Marssum en Jelsum) afgesloten zijn. Dit heeft alles te maken met veiligheid, doorgang van Calamiteitenroutes, verkeersveiligheid, aan- en afvoerroute voor de bussen tbv publiek etc.

Er is geen specifieke kaart van hetgeen dat afgezet wordt. Beide ingangen naar de spotterplaatsen worden afgezet en bemand met personeel van de Luchtmacht. De weg tussen de Keegsdijk (ingang vliegbasis) en Jelsum wordt voorzien van hekken zodat parkeren in de berm niet mogelijk is. Ook dit alles voor ieders veiligheid.

Landing 06 is fully closed (spottershill), but as we will have westerly winds next week only 24 landing is interesting.
On the 24 side no car parking allowed allong the road from base entrance till the village Jelsum, but if go there on foot or by bike it should be no problem depending on the police.

Langs de gehele weg vanaf de poort tot aan Jelsum geldt een parkeerverbod, lopend of fietsend kun je wel de spottersplek bij de 24 bereiken, alleen mag je waarschijnlijk de weg niet oversteken en moet je aan de oost kant blijven, tenminste dit was zo een paar jaar geleden.

I'm coming by bus from Leeuwarden, does anyone know if it will still stop at Jelsum?

Is this only for the main road, or also for the smaller road to the side at the 24 east side of the field.

What is the closest parking area?
I go on thursday, but don't know where to go to take photo's.

I hope somebody have an answer.
