Help using D7100

Hi, I have just test my new Nikon D7100 and I'm not happy with the results. I use it with a Nikon 300 F/4 AFS wich was very good with my D90 but now the image is not sharp at all. Could someone help me to fix that before the Airshow season?

Can you show us some samples of both cameras?

you took out all the EXIF information and both are scaled down to 1024p so not easy to have an advice on this matter
