Peru Navy Fokker 50s op Lelystad 01-11-2014

Post by Sjaak »

Many thanks for putting up your pictures Sjaak en Richard!
Both "Peruvian" Fokker 50s at Lelystad have so far proved to be far more visible than the Fokker 60s were at Woensdrecht.

I was told that the reg's left/right are correct (saw this also on my detailed tail pics on my pc when I came home), and that the AE-568 is the former U-06 and the AE-567 the ex U-05.

Nice pics, it was a beautiful day at EHLE!

The tape on the tail of one Fokker 50 has been applied slightly different than to the other. If you compare for instance the tail of the left hand Fokker 50 with a picture shown in the latest Airnieuws.nl Fokker fleetlist (picture taken at EHLE by Johan Hetebrij) it looks very much like this one being AE-568....

That is of course unless the info in the photo caption on Airnieuws.nl is incorrect....

Maybe a stupid question, but why is the registration taped over?

As far as I know it has something to do with not officially being handed over to the Peruvian government at this stage...

1) I could not see any registration on that helicopter
2) yes, the light on the C-54 causes some reflections
(have of both pics from the left side)
