ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Düsseldorf and Spl 15 december

Post by Polecat »

Went to Dusseldorf yesterday as I wanted to play around a bit with my new monopod and the meteorologists hinted that saturday would be brighter that sunday...oops...
Got to say that now while I'm editing yesterdays' pics the sunglare is quite annoying on the monitor but quickly picked out a couple of them to share....
Anyway, it wasn't really a sunny day, but no wind either and that makes a hell of a lot of difference when it's only slightly above zero degrees.
I think this was my 7th visit this year and already many aircraft are "gottits". However, the fun of the hobby are the odd-ones-out and the changes to know regulars. For a frequent Dussy spotter these may be quite standard, I just had a very nice day again.
The first one was this cargo airbus.

I Know this "Lu" plane has been flying around like this for about 7 years or so, but I always missed it somehow...

The whole viewing terrace had a good laugh when some ground handlers set a new lap-record..... but they forgot they were carrying plastic luggage crates...

The Dusseldorf visit had to be terminated around 15.00 as my sister-in-law popped out a babygirl, so rushed back to home (don't you just love Autobahn driving!!) and than on to Haarlem. Obviously, no time and no need to drop off the camera :-), so here are some nightshots from Schiphol.
