Chinook D-667 in Assen (22jan08)

Post by Heron »

Goodmeurnin',

while I was in my car on my way to Eelde airport to make a picture of Agusta A-109C G-BDOY I noticed a Chinook flying with an underslung load over the TT-circuit near Assen. It flew towards the city so I thought that it would probably land at the army base there. When I arrived the Chinook was on the ground. I parked my car and at that moment the Chinook took off, but straight-up!
I had no time to check the settings of my camera, just point and click. It turned out the camera was still on 200iso, so the pictures could have been better...
By the way... while I was waiting for a traffic light in Assen I heard via the scanner that the Agusta was at that moment taking-off from Eelde :(

This is what I made of it:

Hi,

Besides the Chinook, there was also a Cougar flying around @ Assen today.

I saw the Cougar around 11.30/12.00 local, also with slingload, overhead our office & Motel van der Valk heading TT-circuit (De Haar).

Greetings
