Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

I say, these are the kind of pictures I expect to find in a photo forum!! Marvellous shots, very inspiring!
On the other hand: I wished you guys stopped teasing me :?

Cheers,

Hi Luigino

How are the night opertunities during your embark?. Are you allowed to photograph on the flight deck or only from the tower?. What kind of equipment is used for the night shots?

Frank

NIGHT SHOOT ON CARRIER

Post by AEROPHOTO »

Dear Frank

unfortunely I was not allowed to be on lfight deck at night, only on the island due safety reason. I shoot most of my night shoot with tripod ( of course!!!!!) with NIKON AF 18-200 VR. For the pics of S. Hornet with AB my set was 24mm, 5.50 sec f/ 5 and ISO 200.
the landing shoot was 22 mm, 91 seconds f/4 ISO 800
I hope it helps
ciao
