Swedish Navy A.109 at Ostend 10/04/2008

Post by Wim »

Hello,

Yesterday (09/04/2008) the second Swedish Navy A.109 landed at Ostend during it deliveryflight. It was the 15033. I had the nightshift and made some nightshots of this great chopper.

The airforce A.109's had the splintercamo. According to the crew these are assigned to the Navy. All the airforce A.109's are delivered to Sweden

Excellent night shots there! I really love your 6th picture with that morning light :o

And btw: indeed the army choppers (12x) have camo and the navy versions (8x) have this grey scheme, though they are all assigned to the main helicopterwing at Linköping-Malmen, so thats the reason for those titles.
http://WWW.FVPHOTO.NL/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; --- Check out my photos of this spotting season on my website!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Nice shots Wim
This Agusta Hkp 15B came from Deauville airport (LFRG) where they eat at 14h00 ;)
Don't know where he came from before.

I saw another one the last week on thursday morning (2008.04.03) over my house, but didn't see the markings, but it was clearly a grey Agusta 109.
