Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

12-07-08 Dusseldorf

Post by Marco »

went today to Dusseldorf. After hearing about the work in progress I was a bit sceptic about the pics to be taken, but personnally I liked Dusseldorf even more then without the work in progress.

The highlight of the day as per below. The rest will follow in due time.

Raising fuel costs make LTU to fly schedule with propliners? If anybody has more details about this propliner, please be so kind to share

It's a De Havilland DH104 Dove. Used for sightseeing flights.

Goodmeurnin',

D-INKA ( 8 ) DH-104 Dove-5 (ex: Devon C.2), c/n: 04266, ex G-BLRN and WB531

The ( 8 ) means that this is the eighth time this registration is used. The aircraft belongs to a retired LTU-captain and is based at Stadlohn-Wenningfeld. As G-BLRN it used to be based in the Netherlands since the mid eighties, first at Rotterdam, later Lelystad.

LTU used to have a Dove with the registration D-INKA, but that airframe doesn't exist anymore. It is indeed used for pleasure flight, see:

You could have been aboard for the charter flight to Duxford Flying Legends, only € 499,-.
Heard this bird last night coming back from Duxford crossing the Eindhoven CTR at 3000ft.

Rising fuel costs? Kerosene is still much cheaper than Avgas.....
