Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).
Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.
Last saturday the 9th of august a Hawker-Hunter tribute day was held on the St. Stephan airfield in Switzerland. Both the weather and the flying dislpay were excellent. Some Hawker Hunters could be seen as well as a Gripen from the Czech Republic, a French Rafale, the Patrouille Suisse, the PC-7 team and some other historical aircraft. Enjoy the pictures.
Wow, very nice. St Stephan is really nice. Amazing that they can hold a flying display here, so close to the mountains. Went to the hunter show at Interlaken some years ago. It's one of my spotter highlight. Fassstttt and lowwww!!!

St. Stephan is indeed very nice. Due to the mountains they have to fly a little bit higher, for safety reasons. Still it was a very nice show. I will not forget the sound of the formation of 2 Hunters and a Vampire doing a fast pass through the valley. Incredible
Really nice pics, love them all. Nice scenery, nice compositions and a lovely report!!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.
This years event was meant to celebrate 50 years of Hawker Hunter in Switzerland. So it is quite impressive to see how long they served and that many of them are still flying.
@ Marcel: Photo Forum has no obligation to keep things in one topic. But it does give an easier overview, of course, so I removed the separate one as you suggested.
Marien & Marcel, what a joy to look at these reports!
