2008-09-19 Buchel [ETSB] - Photocall 50 year of JBG-33

Post by Hornet69 »

Hi all,

visited today "fliegerhorst" Buchel because of 50 years JBG-33. Next to a lot of locals also some visitors arrived to celebrate.

Due to 50 years of JBG-33 Tornado 45+44 was decorated nicely.
Image

The 45+44 also flew a mission that morning. As you can notice the tail of this Tornado has two different art-works.

Some locals during take-off and landing.

In total eight Tornado's of JBG-33 flew a mission. Also some visitors arrived to celebrate JBG-33's party!

Next to the special decorated Tornado of JBG-33 there were also the decorated Tornado's of JBG-31 en JBG-32 present. Unfortunately the "Boelcke" Tornado arrived a day to soon and was put on static display so no good photo oppurtunity here. The JBG-32 Tornado could be photographed nicely; thanks to the effort of our public affairs officers.

Hope you enjoyed watching?

Grtz,

Edward.

Hi Edward,

It looks like you had the perfect light conditions during the photocall. And they also seem to have put you in the right spots. Your photos look great, although I no fan of the borders that you use.

Nevertheless you seem to have had a great day out. Well done !

Cheers,
Iwan

Hi Johnny,

I see a lot of good shots. Well done, and no critique. Actually I do like the colors and contrast in several of your shots.

But if you really want critique, I want to mention just one thing. It's not your photography, but a cosmetic thing about Tornados. Am I the only one who dislikes this position for a Tornado ?!? The tail is just as big as the rest of the aircraft in this shot, the fins look bigger than the wings and at this angle the tail sticks out horribly.

Don't get me wrong, as I do understand why you shot it from this angle, but if it were a car in an advertisement, I would never ever buy this type of car because of the looks. ;-)

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Ciao,
Iwan
