A7 and F4 deployed into Germany 80-ties

Post by Ergo01 »

Spangdahlem saw several A7 deployment in the late eighties. I had been at Rickenbacker before, but seeing them again was OK:

Arrival day of an ill-fated deployment of 35TFW (George AFB) at Jever. I think I remember three aircraft were lost during the crossing of the Atlantic. This one made it allright.

It seems only two crashed: they collided on approach, see http://sharpshooter-maj.com/html/deploy84.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
