Request C-130H CH-13 ???

Hello,

Today, I was at Florennes and I pictured the CH-13
I didn´t know the existence of it. The CH-13 didn´t mention in the scramble database :roll:
Anyone have more informations about ?

Very strange indeed! Is any construction number or former US serial readable on the aircraft? (possibly in the text to the right and above the serial on the nose?) That would be a way to trace it back. My guess is they reserialled CH-14 back to CH-13, for some reason.. :|

The photo is really nicely done, but there is no CH-13. But still it was nicely done!

A very weird situation, especially when you read this artikle:

Belgisch leger officieel bijgelovig
(...) Binnen twee jaar komt er een tweedehands C-130 in dienst. De dertiende eigenlijk in de reeks van transportvliegtuigen, maar toch zal het toestel niet ingeschreven worden onder CH-13. Wel onder CH-14, aldus eensluidende bronnen. Het leger had totnogtoe nooit toegegeven aan bijgeloof. Het dertiende exemplaar bij alle types van vliegtuigen en voertuigen werd steevast ook onder dat nummer ingeschreven. Sabena Technics, dat de tweedehands C-130 opduikelde en op punt zal stellen, heeft echter als instructie gekregen het toestel als de CH-14 te beschouwen. België kocht in 1972 en 1973 twaalf Hercules-transportvliegtuigen, die ingeschreven zijn van CH-01 tot CH-12. Het tweedehands toestel, dat eigenlijk van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht komt, moet een C-130 vervangen die in mei 2006 verwoest werd bij een brand in Zaventem.

Hello,

I can confirm this, the Belgian Chief of Staff decided to 'recode' the aircraft to CH-13, in order to make it clear that they are not supersticious.

that's funny then, You canspot the same herc with two different reg's within a short time. Luckiliy I saw it as CH-14, too bad I wasn't able to take a pic at Brussels when we saw him
