Then: the Valle Air Museum. It's situated half way between Williams and the Grand Canyon on US Highway 64. The following surprises were found there :D

Nice pics!!!

I will be in the the vincity of LAS in the end of august; do you have some recommondations for aircraft spotting at LAS, not for numbers but just pics. Maybe there is a hotel with good views at the airport?

Are there more nice museums in the vincity of LAS?

Love to see more pics...

Denmen :

Plane Spotting , Number Spotting :

There are many options for taking pictures and just number logging around the perimeter at KLAS , 19L/19R pass along the Blvd and you can park your car along many store parking lots 19L/19R are most frequently being used for landing and t/o.

25 is being resurfaced but much of the traffic is 25 is open again ain't a problem either from the strip.
To sum it up just drive around the perimeter will give you an overall view of the movements. All the times i visited KLAS the cops hardly ask anything , just be polite and helpfull , they have better things to do than to check out a plane spotter (that goes for the majority of airports in the U.S).

I myself will head out to KLAS next month again for my bi-yearly trip to KLAS and Nellis AFB. Sent me a PM with your email address and i will sent some pictures over and exacte locations where i took them.

(Note i use to life in Den Bosch myself but moved a long time ago , sounds great to get in touch with somebody from Den Bosch or is it still 's-Hertogenbosch).

Doei. 8) To be continued..

Hi Denmen,

The Mandalay hotel, which can be seen in the background on the pictures above, offers nice views on the airport from one of the wings (it has the shape of a 3-pointed star). My wife and I spend a night there while on honeymoon, ten years ago, it was about the newest place in town then .
It's not suitable for taking pictures because of the distance and the tinted windows but nice to keep an eye on traffic. Especially the view on the bizjet platform was fine from our room.

The MGM Grand has also some nice views and is cheaper than the Mandalay Bay

Thanks for your advise, but;

I'm not that keen on big hotels and most payable big hotels haven't those good reviews, so I booked the Desert Rose Resort (Duke Ellington Way) for 2 nights from the 25th till the 27th of august which is near the beginning of 19L/19R...little walk.

Dennis

Lovely! Has all the looks of a 'mini Pima museum'. Fantastic light.
