Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).
Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.
This evening arround 19.30u a twoship of Dutch Chinooks was overhead Soest, and the former airbase Soesterberg. Not the very best pictures (I had not a lot of time to get my camera in the right settings) but I think it gives a nice impression of this noce formation
The where flying over Den Dolder as well. It was nice to see them here again. It reminded me of the "good old days", although that is just 6 months ago.
I missed them on my scanners, so no idea what they where doing here.
Yes it was a nice surprise! And I also didn't expect these choppers in this area. I knew about nightflying this week, but that's at Gilze and Deelen. Off course I can also live with some movements arround Soesterberg
I'm sorry and don't take it personal, but I don't see any reason to show these pics on the messageboard. The quality is dreadful and I about enjoyed looking at these as much as I did reading the sentence: Chinooks overhead Soest.
But (I don't want to make any (more?) enemies) ofcourse you are free to post here whatever you like.

Actually that was my first thought also looking at these pics. They arn't that special since chinooks fly all over holland.
But as you wrote, everybody is free to post...

Edit: They were at de Kooy.

The D-664 should be the D-661 according to my pictures which I took when the two were flying overhead my house in Rijen. This I remberred because I was working on the D-661 in the past when I was doing some working experience on Woensdrecht (LCKLu) that's the reason I remember this number (I normally don't care about the numbers)
