Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Airpower 09 - Zeltweg - Saturday

Post by Key »

The light on the second day was generally less interesting, which shows in the photos unfortunately. However, getting just a few drops of rain while it sometimes poured down on three sides around the field was something to be grateful of!

Still quite rare, a civilian aerobatic team with military planes.

Image
The Bölkow pilot really put up a great display on Saturday.

Image
Kiowa fly-out...

Image
Obviously, I would have preferred the static MiG to do this. Oh well, at least Saab jets have unique designs.

Here come the helos again.

A closer look at 'life in the LZ'.

Yep, that's an interception allright.

PBY power.

Image
DC-2 still going strong!

Image
Quite a splash for such a light aircraft.

Image
What a beast.

Image
Departure from the flightline, that was all for the M346.

Image
The Swiss got to close the show, starting with the Hunter pair. 'Papyrus' on the wing of 'Patrouille Suisse' leader.

Ah, got him. It's Mr. Oizo (Ötzi is the glacier mummy - or the Austrian dj who happened to be present at Airpower 05 ;) ).

Cheers,
Erik

Trying to get on my seat again, here. I fell off by the sight of such crisp shots. Great job!
