Visiting Quart Festival Kristiansand Norway

Post by Slash_fan »

Hello
I went to Kristiansand with my father 27th of June to see my Guitar Hero Slash playing a once in a lifetime gig at the Quart Festival.
We left at saturday to arrive at kristiansand sunday morning, around 7AM. We went to Hamresanden Camping wich lies a bit north east of Kristiansand.
When we where settled at the campingside we discovered that the camping lies really close to Kristiansand airport Kjevik. I knew it was not a military airfield
so i was quite surprised when we saw a RNoAF Hercules make a Touch & Go...
so i grabbed my camera and waited for it to return. It is a bit strange because this Hecules, with number 5607, makes around 4 Touch & Go's everyday...(ofcourse not in weekends)
so i had some opurtunities but still only managed to make 3 good shot because i cant seem to get the photo sharp when working with shutter for the rotorblur
But still managed to make some good shot, not all military tho

this one flew over 2 times, but only 1 day

and here is the famous 5607

Kristiansand houses the RNorAF technical school. Next to some Norwegian AF aircraft it also has at least one former USAF F-16A for training purposes.
Kind Regards,

Andries
