Gilze-Rijen- Wings and wheels

Post by Antoine »

Hello everybody,

On Saturday this weekend, a little show took place for charity: Classic Wings and Wheels.
Besides lots of classic cars, some Dutch warbirds were flying around.
Here are some pictures of this nice, sunny event.

Classic Wings and Wheels turned out to be well-worth the steep entry-fee (€ 75,-). You could walk through the paddock and be up close and personal with all the participating classic cars (almost all types of Ferraris, Bugatis, Jaguars, Austin Healeys, Alfas, Formula 1 cars from the 1950s to the 1990s, many rare classics like an Iso, Mini Marcos, Bonnet, etc. etc.). They did demo-racing with many of the cars, some drivers were cautious but others really enjoyed driving hard and showing off to the public. Also, people could be passengers in the cars and aircraft. All this to enjoy driving and flying but also for charity (KiKa). Catering was great too and included in the entrance fee. Weather cooperated nicely as well!

Hi Antoine...

My compliments for your fantastic pictures!
Wish I had the originals instead of these "Scramble-pictures"...
I like these old planes more than all the jet stuff.
Well done!!!!!

Grtz.
