Gilze-Rijen 'Slopes' 26-8

Post by Maarten »

Hello,

Today I went to Gilze-Rijen to hopefully have some action at the Slopes.
There wasn't that much activity the only thing that passed the slopes for about 15 mins was an All-III.
Well beter one thing than nothing and with the great weather I think I have made some good shots...
Here a little selection:

Nice catch Maarten! AL-3's arn't seen very often on the Slopes. I've got the Chinook, Cougar and Apache but I'm still missing the Blue-Bird...

Sven

very nice pics, I was also at the slopes but then in the afternoon and i was there nothing. So i walked to runway 02 and there an Al.III made a very sharp turn just a few meters before me, very fast and very low . I coudn't make nice pics of it (not really sharp) but it was fantastic to stay there :-E: :day:

Very nice pics.

It also makes me wonder what they are actually training.
In an AIII the view to the outside world is excellent, and nevertheless the seem to be training a kind of "crew resource management" or cross cockpit training.
The Pilot Flying is looking straight forward (eyes on the horizon), the Pilot Non-Flying is sitting backward and the 'load-master' (is that the name?) seems to be calling the heights.

So the traiing o the slopes appear to be crew management training rather that just 'land on a slope'
Can anyone shine a light on this? Thanx!
