In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

I just returned from a short trip to Malta to visit the Malta Airshow 2009. Unfortunately some of the invited guests did not show up but still I had a very enjoyable weekend with plenty of sunshine and friendly people. here a small impression of the show and departure day. More will follow later this week.

1. Harrier at the static

and here a few more. The Lybians cancelled at the last moment. Although the Defence Ministry gave their permission it was halted by "higher authorities" and we all know who that is.

Was it like previous years with the display away from the actual airfield and over the beach or something like that?

No, this time is was at the actual International Airport and static located on P4 (spot 7 at the Scramble Airfield Guide). This meant the airshow had backlight until 15.00 and also the diplays are between the normal airline arrivals/departures. But the atmosphere is very relaxed and not very busy. I enjoyed it very much.
