Trip to Slovakia

Post by raptor »

Hello all,

Last week, I joined the 4Aviation trip to Slovakia. It was an excellent trip with many nice girls :) and...eh.. oh yes..also some planes were spotted.
Sometimes it was a bit challenging with the light and the high grass, but still some nice pictures could be made.

Very Very nice, I love the MiG shots!
Look at the way the Hor-Stabs are angled at the flare in the last picture! Looks great!

One very dumb question maybe  But what aircraft is it with the Fokker 50 wings and nose, and Skyvan wheels? With the Russian flag colours as cheatline. Seems a interesting looking plane!

I'm sure you have enjoyed your trip, and if there are more, please show some photo's! I like them very much.

Kind regards, Jeffrey.

Looks very nice indeed :) I was there also and I really enjoyed myself between the Migs and other aircraft :D

The aircraft which Jeffrey means is the Let410, they have six of those things operational.
My photo's will follow in a while, first Gilze-Rijen ;)

Hi,

very nice pictures! One question I have: I'm also planning to go to Slovakia but I thought the Migs are operating from Sliac rather than Malacky, is that right? Just don't want to go to Sliac to find out I'm at the wrong base  .

Can you please help?

BR,
g.

Sliac was closed for runway repairs/construction work. Scramble 375 reports:

Sliač was reopened again on 16 July 2010 following reconstruction
work which lasted almost one year. In this period the
MiG-29s and L-39s from the Zmiešané krídlo “Otta Smika” operated
from Malacky-Kuchyňa.
