Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

EHAM / Schiphol 25-10-2010

Post by palletmike »

Southern Air Boeing 747F made a rejected takeoff at the Polderbaan. Stopped just in time before the end of the runway. On the right main gear many flat tires were noticed.

Congreatulations, you're the first one! Lucky escape this one.......maybe you can try and darken the sky a little bit, then the plane will pop out better and you will probably get a little bit more depth in the picture. (you were probably in a hurry getting this picture on Scramble first, right? )

Cheers,
Menno

I think being first is stupid, better post a good picture than being just the first one, you can only make an entrance once ;-)

(And then there will be people who say be first with a good picture...) Or be first and don't post at all, or be first an make coffee for the rest, or just be here and post stuff..

Hey Palletmike, good picture of that jumbo, it gives a clear view of the situation and that is what most of us like to see in these instances.

Pay no attention to that babble about photo excellence, these gents sound a bit to full of themselves.

kind regards

Hey, i see someone who misunderstands the context here :) Nothing wrong with Palletmikes picture, i was only reffering to Wild Weasels "be first" comment. That should no be the essence of posting here I think. Thats it. So if anyone finds it different as my explanation than that is not my intention. And we are all here looking for fun right? And there is nothing wrong with paying attention to any babble, maybe i learn a thing or two.. :)

Some other pictures to share. Made a check in Google Earth; 250 meters are left of the 3800 meter which are available.

Ec...

this is only a free tip, helping somebody to make your stills even more nice. If he, or anybody else is not willing to pay attention to that, then he or she is free to do that. Intention is to help somebody getting more result.....

I was just happy with 09 take-offs :D :D I saw the first note about the southern in the EHAM topic and thought she should be far away right now. Next time better luck.
