Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Just Nellis AFB

Post by Reinold »

From Oklahoma, we flew to Vegas. From here on we visited the National Parks for a few days and Nellis AFB of course. Unfortunately the Red Flag was cancelled. But Nellis AFB is still “fun” with 2 runways and flying in both directions no matter what ... even without a Red Flag.

Nice report! What a base that is, especially in this perfect light! 8)

(Is that JZ Eagle new in the inventory of the Nellis Wing(s), or did it just borrow a pair of agressor-brown auxiliary tanks?)

Thanks for all your comments.

@ John 312: For this runway03L and R about 400 mm. For runway 21R also about 400 when they arrive overhead break. Otherwise many more mm :-(

@ Stephan Lodewijks: This one will probably soon go to 65th Aggressor Squadron. There was also an ex. MA F-15c and a number of ex. EG F-15's. Future fighters for433Ws or 65 AGRS, 57th Wing.

@ RobL: We're back since last Sunday sadly. Have a good time in that great country and a safe trip home.

cheers Reinold
