Hee Claudio!

That KC-10 in take-off is a stunner, really like the background as well!

Love the C-130 shot, it almost looks like air-to-air! Do you ever have bad weather at Aviano? All I see is blue sky pics.. :?

Lovely shots, that Herc is fabulous indeed!!

BTW, I have read reports of the 100-400 lens being to soft at 400mm end. Your pics are razor sharp, no softness to see!

Awesome shot and angle, sharpness, really loving this! Very interesting field there...! 2nd shot is also great.. and the angle on the 3rd shot is the best angle for me, just a tad too much noise in that one.. Must be a bit more cropped right? Do you have some shots where they just get airborne?

Greetz!

I would guess the shots were made from outside the field, staying beside a forested area.
The vipers just pop up at the last moment and bank to leave the traffic pattern.

08!, Nice shots, and such nice weather :-)

Any reason for these jets to go to Shaw? Are they leaving as the update program has been finished?

after reading the forum: ooh it is for green flag!

As Piet already told you these are taken from outside (have a look at pont 4 on scramble airfiled guide).
Here you need a full aps-c + 400mm factor (obviously for the F16s, not for transport) but the problem is that they are really high (something like on your 80-90°) so you are taking picture above your head while they are banking right. And only 20-30% of them are banking.
Many take off are "only" high.... and that's because the sky is really blue some time.

to take them just airborne you must be inside unfortunately. no way from outside.
