Hi,

I went for the first time to GLV V; This area was on my "to do" list for this year. I was there between 10.00 and 12.00 and was be able to photograph a Chinook D-102 and an Apache Q-17.

Because an exercise was going on (mentioned in the Gilze-Rijen topic) some action could be expected that week. The arrival of a FAC jeep made it easy to figure out were the action was goinig to take place.

here ares a few of that morning :D .

As stated before it was my first experience with this area and although I only saw two helicopters of which one (the apache) was out of my reach (I only had a 70 - 200mm lens with me) it was one of the most exciting experiences for me in a long time, hobbywise ofcourse  . Just to have the feeling of being in the middle of the action.

Grtz,

Edward.

People,

a small video of that day (20-01) can be found here .

The film was shot by people of the MoD and only takes less then 2 minutes to watch. But it gives you a good idea of that day.

Have fun.

Its gives an impression but from a filmers point of view; with the freedom they have to shoot in the action,
It can be made ten times more exciting. But that's not the goal, I guess
